The cd eatures many pieces from the successful DEEP album as well as the most requested live tracks “Breathless” (a rarely performed composition by Robert Fripp) and Stravinsky’s “Firebird Suite”. On top of this are two stunning virtuoso improvisations that only Stick Men can deliver.
Stick Men is a trio made of musicians with extensive experience playing together. Pat Mastelotto and Tony Levin are the rhythm section of the legendary band King Crimson. Mastelotto is in demand all over the world as the premier drummer for progressive rock. Levin plays an unusual instrument — the 12 string Chapman Stick — in Crimson, with Peter Gabriel and others. Markus Reuter is a composer/guitarist who designs and plays his own unique touch style guitar. With all these unusual instruments, this does not sound like three guys!
